Planned Pelagic Seabird Trips
The next Hillarys pelagic seabird trip is expected to be the first Sunday in August 2010. I keep an email list of people to be notified, plus the details are posted to the birding-aus email list.
The trip leaves at 7am from near AQWA at Hillarys Boat Harbour and returns by about 3:30pm. There is a limit of 27 people. Booking is essential. Alan Collins is also organising two pelagic trips from Albany. The next trip is likely to be in August 2010. The cost is expected to be about $150 per person depending on numbers and which boat is used. The Albany pelagics have had outstanding species including Black-bellied Storm-Petrel, Wandering Albatross, Sooty Albatross, Grey-headed Albatross, Grey Petrel, Kerguelen Petrel, White-headed Petrel, Sooty Shearwater and Arctic Tern So hopes are very high for more successful trips.
